Welcome anyone playing Sins of a Solar Empire.

The Apricot Mapping Service stumbled into the Sins universe recently and immediately joined the TEC.

As such, our aim is to enhance defensive technologies in the defense of our planets against the Vasari and Advent forces threatening to destroy everyone.

I couldn't stand this game. I bought it because I thought it was going to be like X3 but it isn't even close. So, I dug out my x3 and am hooked on that again Smile

It kept me occupied for a while, but I had to mod it extensively to get any real enjoyment from it.

I found its total focus on conflict was eventually put me off. That and it became boringly repetitive.

I played one game and the whole time I was bitching to my roommates, "I can't wait to win so I never have to play this game again!"

I couldn't just quit it, I had to win once.

Oh yeah and I remember the game it reminded me of, from NES, can you guess which game it was?

Starts with an "O"

It doesnt ring a bell, but then, quite a lot of the space stuff never got to Australia, and I had to pick it up overseas.

It was fun. I remember I bought a nintendo about 6 years ago just so I could play it. Playing it on a computer wasn't the same as on the nintendo system.

I do agree that SINS lacks the deep fixating compulsive enthrall of X3 (a new discovery for me).

BUT, it allows a small multi-player experience. it enables a group of friends to engage with an expectation of FINISHING!!!!!!

Actually completing a Game is a good thing..... sometimes.

As a solo game it's about a 40 hour investment to play every reasonable variation, versus X3 which is about 40 generations.

For some of us E&B, EVE, SWG, and WoW enthusiasts it's a very nice change of pace from raiding and leveling and still doing group play.

So there!
