Tell us what you have done in your game that makes the game more fun for you.
In mine, the Gunbus gave me a ship I really have fun flying. No more dying unexpectedly for bad programming reasons. No more taking ages to cross a sector. No more having to fight because you cant escape. No more constant docking to take on e-cells. No more leaving containers behind because you havent got any room left in the cargo bay.
Just FUN FUN FUN.

I mostly played FPR games and flight simulation (Jane's USAF was great even on Win98 but won't worked on XP) but monthly long I played Freelancer, even online! Ive remember my gaming with Elite, Frontier even on ZX Spectrum, Atari 1040STFM...
I really enjoy with Freelancer as it's simply and doesn't ask for some fast CPU & graphic card...
Later, I discovered X3R and wanted to play, as it shows great potential but too much menus distract me by weeks. But, each weekend I learned something new and now I'm able to enjoy in this game.
What I like here, in X3R?
I like scripts, making my own script that help me in some hard moment of games, when I'm out of energy, money... where to go. It help me to try before some scenario before I do it for really. Good thing is ability to add own ships, mods, but I don't know yet how to do it, but I WOULD LIKE do it!
What I dislike?
Strange way of command menu, too complex for newbie as a one must deep to dig out to find some command, but byy the time it's works. Some of ships modeled great but some of them are like child's products, maybe due to lack of design idea, lack of time for game producing..?
Sound could be better (engine growl) but it's OK mainly. All this is for ver. 1.4. Just for record. I presume that version 2 is better. |

Have caught many a reference...[to your Gunbus]
As i have not played long enough to see all the advantages,
many of your 'no mores' i am seeing already if you get what i mean.
And I've always been a fleet commander 'sort of guy.
Your 'baby' sounds GREAT. [ will specifically read section tonight]
But not yet. Using the Nova from maelstrom [threw away 3 mill to make myself feel better for having it before had rep to have it.. ]
Will get back to you on this cause i have to mod to a degree no?

Doing it yourself is just a matter of learning how. Adding in someone else's mod and using what they changed is pretty easy if you have basic computer skills. |
